Ancient Acre Wellness wasn't born from a business plan. It was born from a body that needed healing, and a woman who listened to it.
My Story
My name is Jessie, founder of Ancient Acre Wellness and Full Spectrum Doula. Before this became a brand, I was navigating significant health challenges and disability, searching for a more grounded way to care for myself, something that felt real in a world full of quick fixes and empty promises.
What I found was not one answer or one perfect remedy. It was a gradual return: to simpler ingredients, slower rituals, the steadiness of the natural world and the wisdom held in the land beneath our feet. The things that have quietly supported people and communities for generations.
Ancient Acre grew from that return. It is rooted in the belief that we are not separate from nature—we are part of its seasons and cycles. It is a space shaped by reverence for the land, respect for traditional ways of caring and the small, grounding rituals that connect us back to ourselves.
From the Body to the Threshold
As I healed, something else opened. The more I trusted my body's wisdom, the more I felt drawn to the work of holding space for others at their most vulnerable — in birth, in death, in the spaces between.
My approach is grounded in lived experience, dedicated self-led study and a deep respect for the innate wisdom each person carries. I do not believe I am here to override your instincts or claim to have every answer. I am here to offer steady, compassionate presence; to listen without judgement; to offer a steady, compassionate presence through life’s thresholds, creating space for you to feel heard, supported and connected to your own inner knowing.
The apothecary and the doula work grew from the same root. Caring for the body was never meant to be separate from caring for the spirit. Whether I'm making a batch of tallow balm, holding space for new life entering the world or sitting with someone in their final days, it's the same act — to honour the whole person and their connection to the earth, their body, and their own natural rhythm.
